Via the new website Hotels.co.uk travellers book directly on a hotel or accommodation's own website. As a result, overnight stays are offered at much more favourable rates than with other accommodation providers. Hotels.nl is the only website to offer visitors all the contact details of hotels. With its new strategy, Hotels.nl is responding to increasing criticism about the high commissions that large market players impose on hotels for bookings through their platform. 

Hotels.nl now brings transparency to this by making all contact details of a hotel or accommodation, including phone number and links to the websites, easily findable. Kees Eldering, co-founder of Hotels.nl, added: "We value transparency and strive to always be open and honest. We share all the details of our available accommodation with our visitors free of charge. Furthermore, we not only offer the possibility to find the most suitable hotel room, but also to view all current offers and read recent reviews from guests who previously stayed at the hotel. Hotels.nl aims to display all up-to-date information of all accommodation in the Netherlands and Belgium to its visitors. All accommodation owners listed on hotels.nl received a code via email last week, allowing them to log in to the website themselves to check their details. Hotels.nl also offers them the opportunity to be better found by visitors to the website. Owners of new accommodation can create a free account on Hotels.nl
