De Beren opens new restaurant in Valkenburg 

After months of preparations, the time has finally come: De Beren will open its second branch in Valkenburg on 1 November. This new restaurant, located under Hotel Courage is started by entrepreneurs Jeffry and Peggy Peels. After the success of their first restaurant in Valkenburg Par'Course, they are now expanding the well-known catering concept to Valkenburg's lively city centre. "We are extremely proud of our team and the fantastic response from our guests. It is thanks to them that we are able to take this step. The centre of Valkenburg is the perfect location for our second restaurant. Here we can welcome both local guest, and visitors to the city to enjoy our dishes and excellent service."Says Jeffry Peels, franchisee of De Beren. 

Three years ago, entrepreneurs Jeffry and Peggy Peels opened their first De Beren restaurant in experience centre Par'Course, located in the Heuvelland nature reserve. An opportunity they did not pass up because of its beautiful location, with countless hikers, runners and nature lovers as guests. Now they are ready to take on the hustle and bustle in the centre of Valkenburg. ''I love walking through the centre of Valkenburg, surrounded by the liveliness and tourism. It has always been a wish to open something in the heart of this beautiful city. The combination of our establishment in nature and now also in the city centre gives us the chance to taste the best of both worlds'', says Jeffry.

Housed in a charming old building located below Hotel Courage, hospitality formula De Beren is expanding further with a new location in the centre of Valkenburg. Although the outside of the building has received a fresh paint job, the inside will not be remodelled until January. Nevertheless, the new restaurant is already opening its doors now, so visitors can already drop by for a visit during the upcoming Christmas period. Ideal to combine with a visit to Valkenburg's famous Christmas market. One of the oldest, largest and most visited underground Christmas markets in Europe. The restaurant will be transformed into a cosy Christmas venue, complete with Christmas decorations and a specially created Christmas menu. With room for 120 guests inside and as many as 160 guests on the terrace, the new establishment, offers enough space for both locals and visitors to the city. Hotel guests are also welcome to enjoy the extensive menu.

What once began in 1984 as an eatery on the Noordsingel in Rotterdam has now grown into one of the leading catering formulas in the Netherlands. With over 48 restaurants and 33 delivery restaurants throughout the country, the De Beren concern has been providing guests with tasty dishes and a welcoming experience for many years. De Beren Valkenburg-Centrum will open its doors on 1 November at Grotestraat Centrum 32 in Valkenburg. The establishment will be open every day from 11:00 to 23:00.
