For the 53rd time, restaurant De Kromme Dissel in Heelsum is celebrating the awarding of its coveted Michelin star. Never before has a Dutch restaurant worn a Michelin star on its façade for so long consecutively. To further expand the famous 'Kromme Dissel experience', the restaurant has been expanded with a sunny garden room and new luxury suites have been opened in the adjacent Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Klein Zwitserland, of which De Kromme Dissel is part. Guests can now enjoy a weekend of dining, staying overnight and breakfast at star level. Chef Tonny Berentsen: "With the introduction of De Kromme Dissel Suites as well as the expansion with the sunny Garden Room where guests enjoy a 5-course breakfast, the culinary experience is made even more complete. This expansion fits perfectly with the feeling we want to give our guests; being looked after in luxury and comfort, in beautiful surroundings."
From now on, the culinary experience at De Kromme Dissel does not stop after dinner. With the opening of 18 luxury suites, located in the adjacent Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Klein Zwitserland, guests can now also stay overnight in style. The suites are designed with an eye for detail, where luxury and comfort are central. Think high-quality furniture, a warm and contemporary finish and culinary elements such as delicacies from the restaurant and art inspired by the rich history of De Kromme Dissel.
De Kromme Dissel recently started expanding its restaurant, resulting in the opening of the Garden Room. This bright, spacious conservatory offers an intimate setting where the outdoor feeling has been subtly brought inside through the large glass windows and warm décor. Chef Berentsen: "In the Garden Room, we bring nature closer, which fits perfectly with our focus on seasonal produce. Guests can enjoy dishes that reflect the flavours of the season, while surrounded by the greenery of the surroundings."
For guests who want the full Kromme Dissel experience, a new package has been introduced. This package includes a 6-course dinner, an overnight stay in one of the luxury suites and a 5-course breakfast in the Garden Room. Upon arrival, each guest will be personally welcomed by a butler. From showing you around the hotel to getting the suite ready for the night, everything is geared towards completely pampering the guest. During dinner, sommelier Ronnie Brouwer, who heads the service brigade, provides matching wine pairings that take the dishes to the next level. The culinary experience continues the next morning with a refined 5-course breakfast, carefully curated by the chef and his team.
In addition to its culinary offering, De Kromme Dissel now also offers modern meeting facilities. The new boardroom, located next to the restaurant, offers space for meetings for up to 16 people. Equipped with the latest multimedia facilities, the room is suitable for both physical and online meetings. During the meeting day, guests are treated to culinary delights with various options for lunch and breaks. The day can be concluded in style with an exclusive caviar tasting and a glass of champagne, possibly as an aperitif for a subsequent dinner.
