New research shows that Algarve in Portugal is the cheapest European destination for a holiday. The region of the popular seaside resort Albufeira is even the fifth cheapest travel destination worldwide, according to research.
Albufeira.co.uk is proud to announce that the Algarve region has been recognised as one of the most affordable destinations in the world. According to the objective Holiday Money Report Algarve ranks fifth among the cheapest travel destinations worldwide and offers significant value for travellers.
Holiday Money Report's comprehensive research assesses the average combined cost of essential travel items such as coffee, beer, cola, a glass of wine, a bottle of water, sunscreen, insect repellent and a three-course meal. The list of the top five cheapest destinations is as follows:
