'And... How was it at the Check-In Summit...'

Last week, we were guests of Hotelvak at the Check-In Hospitality Summit. This event was hosted by RoomRaccoon and took place at Breda's beautiful Ingenhousz Hotel. As a hotelier, Ingenhousz turned out to be the best-performing user of RoomRaccoon's management system and got to receive an Award for it.

Well-known booking platforms will increasingly take these pillars into account in the positioning in which your hotel is displayed. Data provides insights you can no longer ignore as a progressive hotel. Immerse yourself in the search behaviour of your guests; where do my guests come from and what trends are there. This way, there is a lot of data available that you as a hotel owner can anticipate on. Know your brand and identity, know what you want to project with your hotel or B&B, make sure new staff know what they can expect from you and that your guests know why they choose you. Nowadays, everything has to be more sustainable, don't wait and see where you can make a profit. Guests are also making more and more demands in this area and research shows that more and more people choose a sustainable/green hotel. In addition, try to keep an open mind and make a budget available for innovations so your hotel can distinguish itself from other hotels, developers will continue to develop and the industry and guest experience will be raised to a higher level.
