Luxury suite with phenomenal views over the capital

LuminAir, the well-known rooftop cocktail bar on the 11th floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, is taking the LuminAir experience to an even higher level with the LuminAir Suite. The suite, based on the upstairs cocktail bar, is a first in the Dutch hospitality landscape. Hotelvak spoke to Floris Licht, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station.

"The concept for the LuminAir Suite was inspired by the unique atmosphere and experience of our popular rooftop bar, LuminAir (THE BAR ABOVE AMSTERDAM). We wanted to create a hotel suite that offers the same energy, luxury and breathtaking views as the bar. Guests can now experience the feel of the rooftop bar, with its panoramic views of Amsterdam, luxurious ambience and attention to detail, in the comfort of their own suite. The idea was to offer a unique, unforgettable experience that elevates the stay at our hotel to something exceptional."

"One of the biggest challenges was translating the atmosphere of the rooftop bar into a hotel suite that felt both relaxed and luxurious. It was essential to strike the balance between a vibrant, energetic aesthetic and a serene environment suitable for rest and relaxation. This was solved by working closely with designers experienced in creating both vibrant hospitality spaces and luxury hotel rooms. By using high-quality materials, a smart layout and carefully selected decorative elements, we managed to achieve this balance.

"The LuminAir Suite is distinguished by a number of unique features you won't find anywhere else in Amsterdam. First of all, LuminAir is the only rooftop bar in Amsterdam that has its own suite, allowing guests to literally bring the atmosphere of the bar to their own room. You can even hear the same music played by the DJ in the rooftop bar. Moreover, the suite has an impressive 20m² private terrace, something very rare for a hotel suite in the busy city centre."

magazines to reach a wider international audience."

"The success of the LuminAir Suite is measured by various KPIs. The main ones are occupancy, average length of stay, guest satisfaction scores and number of returning guests. We will also monitor the number of positive reviews and social media mentions as indicators of the suite's success."
