Morgan & Mees opens second hotel in Rotterdam

The time has come, Morgan & Mees has opened its doors in Rotterdam. In a different city, but with the same great mission: to give guests an unforgettable experience with top service, delicious food, inspiring surroundings and luxurious hotel rooms. Not only for international travellers, but also for locals, every day of the week.

Morgan & Mees Rotterdam is proud of the restaurant, bar, terrace and 20 beautiful rooms created in the monumental building at Mathenesserlaan 145 after a long 2-year renovation process. The former home of Schoevers and Radio Rijnmond has been lovingly renovated, while retaining the monumental Bauhaus style.

Myrthe Slotemaker, Managing Director, on the opening: "We have lived up to this for so long. It's fantastic to see how the atmosphere and character of the property have been preserved while all the spaces underwent a total transformation. The building has been restored to its former glory and we aim to bring connection between locals and international travellers in this place. Whereby Morgan stands for the traveller and Mees for the local resident".

Each room exudes a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere, and is equipped with all the luxuries you want as a guest. From the "Cute Rooms" to the spacious penthouse with outdoor terrace, where you are treated to breathtaking views of the Rotterdam skyline. The three "Natural Rooms" have their own balcony, while the "Extra Comfy Rooms" are equipped with baths. All rooms have air conditioning, Marie Stella Maris products, coffee and tea making facilities and Wi-Fi.

The Morgan & Mees Rotterdam restaurant is open 7 days a week from 8am for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything is about quality. The chefs at Morgan & Mees Rotterdam are critical and want to know how products are grown and cultivated. The menu offers a combination of local, seasonal specialities and modern international dishes. Guests can choose what they want: one, two, three or four courses, whatever time or day you visit the restaurant.

The bar at Morgan & Mees Rotterdam is the hotspot where you score the tastiest fresh juices with your family breakfast, enjoy your coffee during a work meeting or sip cocktails at the weekend after a hard week's work. Here, worlds come together and cosy corners are created where you can relax with friends or have a spontaneous chat with your neighbour.
