New ibis Styles hotel opened next to Ahoy 

On 24 September, after only 16 months of construction, the opening of ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy took place. The 250-room hotel offers contemporary and comfortable accommodation for (business) visitors and tourists alike, thanks to its modern facilities, stylish rooms and strategic location. With the high demand for hotel accommodation during (international) conferences, fairs, shows and concerts, this new hotel is a welcome addition to the accommodation options near Rotterdam Ahoy.

Ibis Styles is a hotel brand known for its unique and colourful designs. European real estate developer Foruminvest built the hotel with an eye on the future by providing high insulation values, a roof full of solar panels and heating using residual heat from Rotterdam's industry. In addition, the hotel also houses the Italian restaurant 'Giacobba'. 

Heart of South

The construction of the hotel is part of the Hart van Zuid area development, the area around Ahoy and Zuidplein metro station. Hart van Zuid is a unique collaboration in the Netherlands where the municipality, entrepreneurs, schools and residents, together with Ballast Nedam and Heijmans, are bringing out the best in the area. Hart van Zuid will give a qualitative impulse to the Zuidplein area. A pleasant, healthy and sustainable living environment will be created with space for leisure, work, living, shopping and meeting people. The goal is a new vibrant city centre for Rotterdam South.
