Maastricht hosts the next MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for the Netherlands

MECC Maastricht will be the setting for the next MICHELIN Guide Ceremony in the Netherlands on Monday 7 October 2024.

Michelin will hold the 2024 edition of the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for the Netherlands in Maastricht. It will take place on 7 October at MECC Maastricht, during the BBB Maastricht hospitality trade fair. As every year, the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony will announce the restaurants awarded with one or more MICHELIN Stars, as well as who the new Green MICHELIN stars and Bib Gourmands are.

During the event, the MICHELIN Awards will also be presented. This puts the spotlight on professionals whose talent and know-how have impressed the inspectors of the MICHELIN Guide.

Maastricht is a culinary hotspot of the Netherlands. Among the rich restaurant offerings, gourmets will find MICHELIN stars as well as atmospheric eateries. Since 1955, MECC Maastricht has organised the BBB Maastricht hospitality trade fair in October. Thousands of hospitality professionals attend to taste, network and be inspired. It is no coincidence that the announcement of the MICHELIN Stars happens during the BBB Maastricht Horeca trade fair.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide: "We are looking forward to hosting our next MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for the Netherlands in Maastricht. This charming city full of bon vivants is characterised by hospitality, conviviality and the typical Dutch joie de vivre. Maastricht is thus an obvious setting to celebrate the best that Dutch gastronomy has to offer."

Wim Hillenaar, Mayor of Maastricht: "Maastricht is a culinary city par excellence. And if there's one city in the Netherlands that gives you an international feel, it's Maastricht. Our Limburg capital offers the best of both worlds: international allure but also that typical Maastricht cosiness. Our city is known for its tremendous hospitality. We are therefore particularly proud that we, as the culinary hotspot of the Netherlands, may host the awarding of the MICHELIN stars in the coming years".
