As a leading project designer, Homint specialises in unique and welcoming interiors, where experience, hospitality and originality are paramount. "The interior co-determines the appeal and success of a hotel," says sales consultant Roy Hof.
With six branches (Emmeloord, Groningen, Amsterdam, Venlo, Rotterdam and Vlissingen), Homint is a leading player in the field of project design. In its own design studio - Studio Homint - at its headquarters in Emmeloord, furnishing concepts come to life. "After mapping out the customer's wishes and requirements, our designers translate this into an inspiring mood board," says Hof. "Shapes, materials and the atmosphere are thus already well established. The furnishing proposal is then supported with floor plans and 3D visualisations, so the client can see the possibilities of the new interior at a glance."
"We fully elaborate the creative design, where we can think along in all facets of the layout. From routing, floor choice, type of wall covering, window decoration, acoustics, a lighting plan to choice of furniture," continued Hof. "Customised solutions are possible. For example, we supply catering benches in any size or with a certain upholstery, whether or not equipped with charging points for charging mobile phones, for example. We can have tables made to measure, if required with a base in the desired colour. In this way, we create a unique world of experience in every interior." Since Homint is committed to sustainability, there is a lot of focus on reusing materials. "For example, we regularly have old pieces of furniture reupholstered or old tabletops re-sanded and re-lacquered on behalf of our customers. In this way, we give existing furniture a new life."
Homint also distinguishes itself by taking the entire furnishing process off the customer's hands, from creative design to realisation and fitting out. Hof: "Our in-house logistics equipment and enthusiastic team guarantee on-time delivery and efficient move-in."
The latter was the case, for example, in a complete restyling of a hotel that Homint carried out: hotel Klaver Vier in Wagenborgen, Groningen. "At this hotel, the client's only wish was to realise a surprising interior. Other than that, we were given free rein," says Hof.
Homint's designers tackled the restaurant from head to toe. "We also took care of the ceiling, floor, walls and bar. We also went to work on the terrace and hotel rooms. We chose a botanical atmosphere. This, combined with the warm colours, gives the interior a cosy, modern and chic feel. Exactly what a hotel needs. The rich upholstery, the botanical wallpaper and the unique floor with tough tile make it surprising. The same colours and materials have been used in other rooms. This way, everything comes together nicely to form a whole. Every room now exudes the same atmosphere. The botanical influences of the restaurant are reflected in the hotel rooms for a nice interplay. Finally, we have carried inside through to outside, as the same colours and chairs have also been used on the terrace. A perfect match!"
From its central warehouse in Emmeloord, Homint supplies an extensive range of furniture directly from stock. "For every interior, we offer the right look and quality materials to suit the hotel in question. For example, at companies located on the coast you have to deal with salty sea air to which certain materials cannot withstand. For a terrace, it is better to choose all-plastic chairs that do not rust. We always think along with the customer in such matters too," concludes Hof.
