Over 25 years leader in comfort products for the hospitality sector
In recent years, Linnenatwork has positioned itself as a one-stop-shop for hotel and B&B supplies. The company focuses on providing high-quality comfort products, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. This summer, Linnenatwork introduced a new 100% circular mattress of higher quality, but at a lower price than currently available in the market.
According to CEO Joost Verrest, Linnenatwork aims to be a leader in comfort products, both in Western Europe and the Caribbean. The company is constantly working on innovations to improve and make the industry more sustainable. "We want to offer sustainable solutions that are just as comfortable as traditional products, so hotels don't have to choose between sustainability and comfort."
To develop the new circular mattress, Linnenatwork took a standard high-quality mattress as a benchmark. "We managed to achieve the same quality with other materials. Our new mattress is composed of two components: pocket spring metal springs and a top and bottom layer of a new material that offers much more comfort. However, it looks like an ordinary 28-centimetre foam mattress." Verrest explains that while the previous version of the circular mattress was durable, it did not offer the same comfort as traditional mattresses and was relatively expensive. "The new mattress ventilates extremely well, is very comfortable and has the same price as a normal mattress. This makes it an attractive alternative for hoteliers."
Linenatwork uses several production sites in Europe to offer a wide range of products, from cheaper lines to high-end options. Besides the new mattresses, the company is also working on other innovative products. "We are busy developing recyclable mattress pads and box springs that offer the same durability and comfort as our new mattresses. We expect to introduce these in the first quarter of next year. Our aim is to become more sustainable this way without people realising it.''
The company is currently expanding a resort in Bonaire. This project includes custom-made sofa beds and beds. "We can offer every customer a suitable solution. More and more hoteliers are discovering our sofa beds, as they increase the capacity of a hotel room in an instant. We often customise these sofa beds. Thanks to the good cooperation with our manufacturers, we are able to do this and can deliver quickly."
For another Caribbean hotel, Linnenatwork developed a new type of linen because guests there slept with the air conditioning on under thick duvets. "The new bed linen allowed the air conditioning to be turned down, while the guest is still not too hot. This has been so well received that people want this at home too." At several hotels, Linnenatwork is responsible for the complete room design. "We are increasingly becoming a true total supplier. In addition to beds, mattresses and bed linen, we then also provide an armchair, a rug and other decorative elements. Our mission is clear: we want to be a one-stop shop in comfort products for the hospitality sector in Western Europe and the Caribbean."
